Sedation Dentistry

SEDATION DENTISTRY

Happy MODEL with toothy smile, keeps index fingers near mouth, fingers pointing and forcing cheerful smile

We offer sedation dentistry to ensure a comfortable and anxiety-free experience for our patients during dental procedures.

Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas)

We use nitrous oxide to relax anxious patients and patients with strong gag reflexes. At the end of the procedure, the patient inhales oxygen for five minutes to flush out any remaining nitrous oxide. There are no lasting effects of the Nitrous Oxide and your child can return to school right away.

Intravenous (IV) Sedation

We partner with Cloud 9 Sedation, a pediatric dental anesthesia company, to provide IV sedation to our patients who may need a longer procedure or need extra help in staying relaxed. IV sedation requires a needle to be inserted into your child’s vein, usually in the arm or hand. Home preparation is required for this type of sedation, which involves fasting from eating and drinking hours before the procedure. You will get specific instructions for your child based on your child’s age.
